What does Joko Jun mean?

Daijou Tennou, or simply Joko, was a Japanese title, translated in English as Grand Emperor or Emperor Emeritus. And, Junior, or just Jun, is my nickname.

What does freelance means?

Hiring a freelancer means hiring a professional who has the necessary web design and developer skills and knowledge, yet does not have the high overhead of a traditional website design and development company. Why should I hire you when I can grab anybody off the street to do it for practically nothing?

While it's true that most people who own a computer can upload a "web page", it takes experience and skill to craft dynamic websites with a well-planned approach. And, I won't just build your website. I will include a built-in management and editing capability so you are not tied to me updating it. That means you will be able to update your website content yourself. And, after your website is built, people would need to know it exist. So, I will help you bring traffic to your website by submitting your website to major search engines like Google. And of course, I will make sure that your website is compatible with major web browsers, so it is accessible to as many people as possible.

You are far away from my location. Will that be a problem?

Absolutely not. The advantage of the Internet is that it transcends physical distance and time zones. As long as there is email, speakerphones and FedEx, distance doesn't matter.

Do you program in Windows or UNIX?

I prefer programming and development on Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP, Perl. I will consider Java and Microsoft platform depending on the project.

Do you do creatives as well?

I'm available for logo, graphic and web design with the idea that effective design is simple and direct. The look and feel of the website are improved with optimized graphics, validated HTML/CSS, XML and JavaScript.

Do you do search engine optimization?

I always dedicate time to optimized my client's website for search engines to attract more visitors.

What else can you do?

I'm also an amateur photographer and composer. I usually take my digital camera with me wherever I go and on rare moments compose techno music.

How long does it take to build a website?

That depends. Many times it depends on the client. If you supply me with everything I need up front, like text, photos, logo, etc, it can go very quickly. However many larger projects can take several weeks to a few months.

How much will it cost?

While this is a question I'm asked almost everytime, it's one that has no easy answer. There are really so many variables involved that quoting a price-per-site is impossible. I believe that each project, whether a simple or a complex website deserves to be created to your real needs. That means that I can't just toss out approximate costs without analyzing your requirements. Knowing your project details will allow me to bid both the time and cost of your project.
